TANISA NIRANATKUL
Junior Lab Tech/Admin Coordinator

Askohpt-100-web a graduate from the University of California, Irvine with a BS in Biological Sciences, Tanisa gained a strong interest in the human body, the physiology and how it operates under various conditions.

Growing up, Tanisa has always had a strong interest in public health and has always greatly valued the importance of fitness and leading a healthy lifestyle. Her interest in the field originated when her father went through physical therapy for several months after a knee replacement surgery.  He enjoyed going to physical therapy and spoke highly of how the physical therapists were helping him gain his quality of life back very quick. Immediately, she knew that she wanted to have the same impact on the lives of others and play a role in their recovery process.

Through various medical volunteer programs and hospital internships, Tanisa was able to solidify her decision to pursue a career in Physical Therapy. She is currently taking additional prerequisite courses to apply for physical therapy schools this upcoming fall.

Jorge graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis on Clinical Exercise Science. He was also inducted into the National Society for Collegiate Sch

olars during his second semester for his exemplary academic achievements as well as making the Dean’s List for his department.

Jorge has been active as a young child which is where his passion and inspiration for human movement sprouted. Jorge participated in soccer as a young child and also played in high school. He became a multi-sport athlete in sports such as Cross-Country, Track and Field, and Volleyball.

Jorge plans on pursuing a career in physical therapy. His decision to pursue this career was seeing himself and his peers struggle with constant injuries. Upon taking courses in college it solidified his decision to pursue a doctorate in physical therapy.

DANIEL NAILES, EMT

Daniel graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor’s of Science in Public Health Science.  Daniel is a multi-sport athlete in Cross Country, Track and Field, Tennis, and Badminton. He enjoys running full and half marathons, such as the Beach Cities’ Challenge.  At UCI, he was a part of Circle K International, Kababayan, Pilipino Pre-Health Undergraduate Student Organization (PUSO), Hawaii Club, and played for the Collegiate Badminton Club Team.

Daniel has always expressed a passion for helping others and wants to pursue a career in the medical field. He has had many involvements including medical internships at Kaiser Permanente’s Emergency Department, Pharmacy, and ICU and UCI Medical Center’s Obstetrics and Gynecology department. Daniel conducted research on the relationship between perinatal issues and the development of psychiatric comorbidities in children with Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder for UCI’s Department of Public Health. He also interned as a student teacher for Davis Magnum Elementary School in Newport.

Daniel is a licensed Emergency Medical Technician from West Coast EMT and an experienced Audio/Visual Technician from UCI’s Student Center & Event Services. He aspires to become a Physician’s Assistant.
