Concierge Physical Therapy

More flexibility when traditional physical therapy or insurance coverage does not fit your needs. Concierge PT is a self-pay option built around hands-on, one-on-one treatment, including specialized techniques such as Fascial Manipulation® and Active Release Techniques® that require additional certification and that many physical therapy practices do not offer.

Who it is for

Common reasons patients choose Concierge PT

Concierge Physical Therapy provides another pathway when traditional insurance coverage or the conventional physical therapy model does not fit. Whether it suits you depends on your evaluation and your goals.
  • No PT insurance coverage

Your plan does not cover physical therapy, or you do not have insurance.

  • Limited authorized visits

Your plan approves only a set number of visits.

  • Annual benefits used up

You reached your plan's yearly visit limit but still have goals to work on.

  • High deductible

You are paying most of the cost yourself before insurance begins to pay.

  • Care after coverage ends

You want to keep going after your insurance-covered care is finished.

  • Persistent or recurring concerns

A problem keeps coming back or has not settled with earlier care.

  • More than one area involved

Several areas need to be evaluated and addressed together.

  • Specialized hands-on treatment

You want treatment that includes certified techniques such as Fascial Manipulation or Active Release Techniques.

  • Movement and performance goals

Mobility, strength, recovery or sport goals that insurance may not cover, such as prehab before surgery or conditioning.

Treatment-focused care

When a standard PT visit may not fit your needs

Pain and movement concerns are not always limited to one body part. Depending on your evaluation, your physical therapist may need to look at related movement, mobility, strength, function and soft tissue, and other factors that may be contributing.

Concierge care is built around treatment. Your therapist can evaluate relevant contributing areas and build your plan around the hands-on approaches your evaluation calls for, including certified techniques that many physical therapy practices do not offer, without structuring every part of your care around insurance visit limits.

Some persistent, recurring, specialized or complex concerns may benefit from this kind of individualized, treatment-focused plan.

Specialized hands-on approaches

Specialized techniques many physical therapy practices don't offer

Some concerns require looking beyond the immediate area where symptoms are felt. Concierge Physical Therapy gives your therapist more flexibility to evaluate relevant contributing areas and use specialized hands-on approaches when clinically appropriate. Fascial Manipulation® and Active Release Techniques® require additional certification, and techniques are chosen from your evaluation, presentation and goals.

Fascial Manipulation®

A hands-on approach that evaluates and addresses the fascial system as part of your overall movement and symptom picture. The therapist assesses specific points along connected fascia, which may be some distance from where you feel symptoms, and treats the areas the evaluation identifies. Dr. Koh is certified in Fascial Manipulation.

Active Release Techniques® (ART®)

A hands-on soft tissue approach in which the therapist applies pressure to an area of tension while you move it through a specific motion. It may be incorporated into an individualized physical therapy plan.

Techniques are used when clinically appropriate as part of an individualized plan that usually includes exercise. Results vary, and no technique is right for everyone. Our other services, such as sports rehabilitation, pelvic health, vestibular rehabilitation and shockwave therapy, are separate services with their own pricing.

Insurance and self-pay

How Concierge PT works with your coverage

Insurance benefits vary by plan, and we do not promise coverage or reimbursement. Our team can help you understand your options.
  1. A

You have insurance coverage for PT

We may bill eligible, covered physical therapy visits to your insurance as usual, and your plan's benefits, deductibles and copays still apply. Concierge services are separate, paid out of pocket, and are not billed to insurance.

  2. B

    Your PT benefits are limited

If your authorized visits or plan benefits are limited or used up, Concierge PT offers another way to continue care.

  3. C

You do not have PT coverage

Concierge PT gives you a way to access physical therapy without relying on insurance benefits for physical therapy.

  4. D

    You choose to pay yourself

You can choose self-pay care. Uninsured and self-pay patients can request a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges before care begins.
