Care Coordinator and Physical Therapy Aide Careers at KOHPT

About the role
Care coordinators and aides are often the first people our patients meet. They handle scheduling and patient questions, and help keep the clinic running smoothly so that visit time goes to recovery.
The role can be a good fit for pre-PT students, kinesiology students and anyone interested in healthcare or physical therapy who wants to see outpatient care up close. Aides work under the direct supervision of a licensed physical therapist and do not provide physical therapy.
What you'll do
- Welcome patients and check them in for their visits.
- Schedule appointments and help patients stay on track with their plan of care.
- Answer calls, texts and messages from patients.
- Prepare treatment rooms, equipment and the training floor for each patient.
- Keep the clinic clean, organized and stocked.
- Help patients get set up and comfortable, as directed by the supervising physical therapist.

What we're looking for
- A friendly, professional manner with patients, in person and on the phone.
- Reliability, strong organization and attention to detail.
- Interest in physical therapy, exercise science or healthcare.
- Willingness to learn and to follow clinician direction.
- Front office or customer service experience is helpful.
