Student Physical Therapist Assistant Clinical Rotations

Build your clinical skills in an outpatient environment, working alongside physical therapists and physical therapist assistants in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation.

About the program

KOH Physical Therapy Lab offers clinical rotations for physical therapist assistant (SPTA) students. This is an educational placement, not a job.

Rotations are arranged with your program under an affiliation agreement between your school and KOH Physical Therapy Lab. Placement depends on that agreement and on clinic availability.

What you'll do

  • Carry out treatment within the plan of care set by the physical therapist, under your clinical instructor's supervision.
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercise and see how it is progressed over a course of care.
  • Observe and report how patients respond to treatment.
  • Practice clear, confident communication with patients and the clinical team.
